Fate of the Jedi - frustrated

I just started Fate of the Jedi - Omen...

I've found that I'm wicked frustrated with the characters having the "Force Psychosis". I think it's because there is no explanation of why.

Which is probably part of the storytelling, and I should just roll with it and wait for the explanation

But it's bugging me to the point of maybe dropping the series altogether.
